Approving an Admin Consent Request
- When an end user has submitted an Enterprise Application Consent Request, you will receive an email notification that will outline some key information such as the user who has initiated the request, the name of the application they are trying to consent for, justification for the request, etc. Locate and select the Review request action to redirect to the necessary page or follow the link outlined below.
- Navigate to the Admin Consent Request – Azure Active Directory portal, locate and select the My Pending tab. A list of all applications that have been submitted by end users requiring additional privileges will be listed. If you determine that the permissions being requested by the application are reasonable. Select the Review permissions and consent action to verify the permissions and grant access for the application.
- A new window will generate where you will need to authenticate with an account that possesses the proper administrative roles and permissions to consent on the users behalf.
- Once the account is successfully authenticated, you will be able to view the Application developer and the specific information that application would want to access. Depending on the information provided, if the application checks out and the permissions are within the scope of what is deemed necessary, locate, and select Accept to finalize the approval action to consent on behalf of the user.
