Denying an Admin Consent Request
- When an end user has submitted an Enterprise Application Consent Request, you will receive an email notification that will outline some key information such as the user who has initiated the request, the name of the application they are trying to consent for, justification for the request, etc. Locate and select the Review request action to redirect to the necessary page or follow the link outlined below.
- Navigate to the Admin Consent Request – Azure Active Directory portal, locate and select the My Pending tab. A list of all applications that have been submitted by end users requiring additional privileges will be listed. If you determine that the permissions being requested by the application are to overbearing, select the Deny action to prevent the application consent request. You will be given the opportunity to provide justification for the denial within the text box below, this should be completed with full attention to detail since this will be visible by other application administrators within your environment and this justification could be displayed to other users that attempt to re-request consent. Select Deny completing the denial for the application consent request.
