Cloud Enclave Enroll Devices for Security & Management

Check which devices are enrolled

  1. Navigate to the All Devices – Intune portal, here you will find all machines that have been successfully joined to Intune.
  2. If you access this portal and you see a discrepancy in your desired inventory; it may be necessary to reference these guides on enrolling devices into Intune. A discrepancy can be an indicator of the Intune joining not successfully enrolling the device due to an error encountered during execution or that the process was never executed in the first place.
  3. If a machine has went through the following Intune enrollment process and is still not showing up within the Intune portal, reference the section below to hopefully remediate this issue.

Common Questions

  1. The quickest way to determine if a machine has gone through the Intune joining process it to verify locally through the Accounts section of the Settings utility. The following guide will show you the necessary steps to confirm if the machine has gone through the onboarding process or still needs to.
  2. Keep in mind to properly join a device to Intune the Windows Operating System must be running Pro and the Entra ID user account must have a Microsoft Business Premium or higher license assigned. Failure to have these two mandatory items assigned will result in a failed Intune join.
  3. If a machine has went through the onboarding process and it is still not showing in the Intune portal as a device entry or if during the verification process you determined that the machine is in fact tied to your Microsoft Tenant; it may be necessary to remove the Device entry that is tied to Entra ID to attempt to reestablish a proper Intune join. This can be done by accessing the All Devices – Entra ID portal, finding the device that is tied to the user account, selecting the entry and leveraging the delete action or manage > delete action on the machine to hopefully remove the stuck join.
  4. There have been cases of Intune records mysteriously disappearing without an administrator deleting the entry from the portal, if that is the case it might be necessary to complete the step listed above with removing the entry from Entra ID and selecting the Disconnect this Account action from the Accounts section of the Settings utility to complete remove the stuck joined state.
  5. If all else fails conducting a device reset and initiating an Intune join from the reimaging prompt usually completes a successful Intune join process.
