Modifying a Device Configuration Profile
- Navigate to Configuration Profiles – Intune, locate the profile you wish to alter.
- Locate the Properties section of the profile, 4 points of interest will be available to Edit. You can modify the sections as needed.
- Basics: Adjusts non-functional items of the profile, such as their Name or Description.
- Assignments: Sets the devices or users in which the profile will be assigned to.
- Scope Tags: Specifies which administrators will be able to view and alter this object.
- Configuration Settings: Sets the actual policy applied to the devices.

- Depending on the change it could be as simple as renaming an item or reassigning a group, or it could be a setting needs to be reconfigured or removed. Either way the general idea is that once changes are made you finalize the modification by saving the profile. Select Review + Save, to proceed to the finalization stage.
- All the edits made will be displayed, if everything is in order select Save to finalize the modification process. Propagation to endpoints can range from 20 – 240 minutes, depending on the policy.
