      Defender Vulnerability Management Remediation Creation Work Instruction

      This work instruction will allow an administrator to request that a listed vulnerability be remediated.

      This article is intended for employees of organizations that use Sittadel's security. Additionally, there are some actions that can only be accomplished by those with administrative privileges.

      Procedure Scope: Administrators

      Required Group Membership: Admin.Vulnerability

      1. Navigate to Recommendations – O365 Defender, this page shows all the recommendations for devices, including both configuration and software recommendations. Locate the specific recommendation you wish to create a remediation for.
      2. Upon selection, a pop-up window will display all the details of the vulnerability, select Request Remediation.
      3. Additional deployment options will be available such as the type of remediation options, date and priority assignments, and deployment notes. Select Next to review and finalize creation.
      4. A review page will display before finalization, select Submit to create the remediation request.

      You're Finished!

      You should have successfully created a request that this selected vulnerability be remediated within the specified time frame. For any other problems or questions, reach out to us!
