Unlocking a FileVault Drive
FileVault, which is applied to corporate devices, ensures that the data on the drive is encrypted. When performing actions that require access to system information without logging in, such as repairing an installation, the FileVault key will need to be located and entered.

Device FileVault Drive Unlock
- Navigate to the macOS Devices – Intune portal, locate and select the device you need the FileVault recovery key from the list.
- Select Recovery Keys. From there, click Show Recovery Key. Input the recovery key on the target device.
