      Device Privilege Escalation Work Instruction

      This work instruction will allow an administrator to understand the enforcement of UAC on onboarded devices.

      This article is intended for employees of organizations that use Sittadel's security. Additionally, there are some actions that can only be accomplished by those with administrative privileges.

      Procedure Scope: Administrators

      Required Group Membership: Admin.DevicePrivilege

      1. Perform an action up until the request for access via UAC is shown. From there, enter the administrator username/password and click Yes. The prompt should complete, and privilege access has been administered.

      You're Finished!

      You should now be able to help end-users that need escalated privilege in the case of application install, accessing task manager, etc. Note that only administrators that are in the listed group will be able to carry out this request. For any other problems or questions, reach out to us!
