This work instruction will allow an administrator to rename a registered device through Intune.
This article is intended for employees of organizations that use Sittadel's security. Additionally, there are some actions that can only be accomplished by those with administrative privileges.
Procedure Scope: Administrators
Required Group Membership: Admin.DeviceMDM
- Navigate to Devices – Intune, select a device from the list.
- From the Overview pane, select the three dots then select the Rename Device option.
- A prompt will generate asking if you are sure you want to follow through with doing a rename of the device, select Rename to finalize the process.
