This guide will allow an administrator to add desired file extensions they want to be included in Anti-Malware scanning enforcement.

- Navigate to Anti-Malware – 365 Defender, select the Security Essentials Anti-Malware Policy or the Equivalent Existing Custom Threat Policy. A pop-up will display all applicable security scanning settings. Locate the Protection Settings section, select Edit to create the necessary file extension addition to the scanning search criteria.
- When selected you will need to locate the Select File Types hyperlink prompt, here you will be able to see the preconfigured extensions that are being analyzed as well as add any desired extensions to be checked.
- You can add any necessary file types by providing the extension in the text field followed by selecting Add when all additions have been made select Done followed by Save to finalize all necessary modifications made.
