This guide will allow an administrator to create an allowance for a desired URL to bypass Safe Links rewriting.

- Navigate to Safe Links – 365 Defender, select the Security Essentials Safe Links policy or Equivalent Existing Custom Threat Policy. A pop-up will be displayed with all the applicable scanning settings, you will need to locate the Protection Settings section and select the Edit option to begin the rewrite exemption.
- When selected you will need to locate the Manage URLs hyperlink and provide the specified URL you do not want to have rewritten, effectively bypassing Safe Link scanning.
- Select Add URLs and provide the web address in the provided text field. Select Save to finalize the process.
- Once the necessary additions have been made, select Done followed by Save to finalize all necessary policy modifications.
