Exchange Queued Messages Report

This guide will show an administrator how to view any queued emails that have been held for an extended period of time; this can be utilized for troubleshooting email delivery issues resulting from misconfigured connectors or other network changes.

Exchange Queued Messages Report

  1. Navigate to the Mail Flow Reports – Exchange Admin Center portal, locate and select the Queued messages report this will open a flyout that will display information related to any messages that are currently being negatively impacted due to a connector being incorrectly configured or a networking or firewall changes to your on-premises environment. If no information is displayed when this report is selected that means that no messages have experienced a hold within the last hour.
  2. If information is displayed when the report is selected this indicates that a connector could be incorrectly configured, or a networking or firewall change has happened in your on-premises environment is now causing delivery issues. Regardless of the cause, it is of high importance to view all the listed information under the connector details section and attempt to remediate this issue as soon as possible. Select Fix once the proper rollback or reconfiguration has been carried out.
