This guide will show an administrator how to configure an allowed Authentication Method set that will be available to desired end users to register for authentication prompt fulfillment.

Entra ID Security MFA Authentication Methods User Addition
- Navigate to the Authentication Strengths – Azure Active Directory portal, locate and select the Authentication Method you wish to allow end users to register.
- Once inside of the desired Authentication Method, you will select the Enable switch to configure the method as an available option for users to register. When set to enable you will be able to specify the Target as All users or Select groups, this can be configured to meet your needs of a full allowance for all users or a restriction available to only a subset of users. After the enforcement has been designated, some additional options like Registration, Authentication mode, or Use for sign-in will be available for configuration if desired. Once the options listed above have been defined as pleased, select Save to finalize the Authentication Methods user addition process.
