O365 Security Awareness Simulation Campaign Creation Work Instruction

This work instruction will allow an administrator to create a simulation threat campaign that will leverage Microsoft created content.

This article is intended for employees of organizations that use Sittadel's security. Additionally, there are some actions that can only be accomplished by those with administrative privileges.

Procedure Scope: Administrators

Required Group Membership: Admin.SecurityAwareness

  1. Navigate to Simulations Training – O365 Defender, select Launch a Simulation.
  2. Select one of the listed techniques depending on the campaign you wish to utilize. Select Next to continue.
  3. Provide a name and description of the campaign. Select Next to continue.
  4. Select a preconfigured payload / login page to utilize in your campaign or create your own. Select Next when complete.
  5. Specify the scope of the campaign, which users will be impacted. Select Next to continue.
  6. You can exclude users if applicable. Select Next to continue.
  7. Select a training method that will aid users that fell victim to the campaign, assignment date can also be established. Select Next to continue.
  8. Select a landing page that will be displayed to users that fall victim to the campaign. Select Next to continue.
  9. Select Notification types that will be sent to users. Select Next to continue.
  10. You will be able to decide a launch date for the campaign you’ve created, it can either be upon finalization or scheduled. Select Next to proceed to revision.
  11. All configured settings will be detailed, once complete select Submit to create your campaign.
  12. A final prompt will notify you of successful creation, select Done to finalize the campaign.
