OneDrive Share Report
- Navigate to the Active Users – Microsoft Admin Center portal, locate and select the user you wish to generate the OneDrive external share report for. Once the desired user is selected, we will want to locate and select the OneDrive tab from the generated flyout. We will want to select the Create link to files action under the Get access to files section.
- The creation of the access link will be initiated, after some time the link will become available for you to interact with. Locate and select the generated link to continue.
- Once the desired link has been selected, we will want to locate and select the gear icon at the top right of the page. From the generated dropdown, we will want to locate and select the OneDrive settings option.
- From the Settings page, we will want to select the More Settings tab. Once there we will want to locate and select the Run sharing report action, a popup will be displayed where you will be able to designate a storage location for the report, this can either be an existing folder or select + New to create a new folder to store the report. Select Save once a desired report storage location has been specified.
- Once the report creation has been initiated, we will want to traverse the directory to the designated folder in the previous step. In the folder you will see a .csv file that will contain all the information captured for active external shares for resources tied to the active site. It might take a few minutes for the report to successfully generate.
