User Account Password Reset Work Instruction

This work instruction will allow administrators to initiate a password reset for end users experiencing authentication issues.

This article is intended for employees of organizations that use Sittadel's security. Additionally, there are some actions that can only be accomplished by those with administrative privileges.

Procedure Scope: Administrators

Required Group Membership: Admin.UserAccount

  1. Navigate to Users – Azure Active Directory, locate the user whose password needs to be reset.
  2. Select the Reset Password option.
  3. A sidebar will open. Click the Reset Password button once again. A temporary password will be displayed; when the user logs in with the temporary password, they will be prompted to reset their password.

You're Finished!

You should have successfully reset the password for the end user specified, make sure to supply the temporary password displayed upon completing the last step to the end user. For any other problems or questions, reach out to us!
